Newry High School

Year 10 pupils had an excellent overall performance in Key Stage 3 tests which promises well for the future.

Over 74% of pupils obtained Level 5 or above in English and 73.2% of pupils obtained Level 5 or above in Maths.  Excellent standards were maintained at Level 6 and above in both subjects.

Ms Pride said she is delighted with the results and paid tribute to the teaching and support staff for the high quality teaching and learning environment they provide across a wide range of abilities, at all levels, catered for by the school.  She also said that praise should be given to the parents of our pupils, who have supported their sons and daughters in preparing so well for the examinations.

For those pupils progressing to employment or further studies at Further Education Institutes, Universities and Colleges Ms Pride extended, on behalf of all the Staff at Newry High School, very best wishes for their future progress and success.
