This
is a cross-border, cross-community initiative,
targeting 14-16 years old, at the risk of
disengagement drawn from post-primary schools in
areas of deprivation.

Course take place over 4
residential sessions, 3 blocks of 3 days and 1
block of 5 days, September - May.

Schools partner with 2
additional schools throughout the programme.

Students develop their
interpersonal skills amongst their peers.
-
Young people develop
professional skills improving future
employability.

Students set up a trading
company.
-
Students sell products at a
local Trade Fair and learn about customers,
marketing, finance and sales.
KEY targets students who want to
develop interpersonal skills and show 100%
commitment to their programme. Students are
encouraged to socialise and work with their peers in
partner schools.
Following participation in the
programme students will graduate with a certificate
endorsed by CCEA and NCCA (National Council for
Curriculum and Assessment) and will be eligible for
selection to attend an international Junior
Achievement/Young Enterprise Student Conference.
