Key Stage 3:

At Key Stage 3 all pupils study citizenship. It is delivered in one period per week. There is much emphasis on discussion and active learning which the pupils enjoy. This is enhanced with workshops for whole year groups which are delivered by Non Government Organisations such as War on Want, the Simon Community and the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People (NICCY).

Key Stage 4:

Citizenship at Key Stage 4 is studied as part of Learning for Life and Work. This is a compulsory GCSE. As part of the syllabus pupils examine issues such as diversity and inclusion, rights and responsibilities and active participation in a democracy. As part of this topic Year 12 students visit Stormont.
